Activity itinerary

Convento de San Antonio de Padua
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
This is one of the most important and majestic buildings of Mesoamerica. It is located on the plateau of the greatest hill of the city of Izamal. You can visit it by going up one of the three ramps built on the sides. The main ramp is of one piece and it finishes at the top with a beautiful and single gate that gives access to a rectangular atrium with 75 arches, which covers an area of 7806.43 m2, this means, that it is more than half the size of the total grounds of the property. This makes it the largest closed atrium of America, and the second largest closed atrium after the St. Peter ́s square, in the Vatican.
Piramide de Kinich Kak Moo
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
This is of the most important structures of Mesoamerica; its base measures 200 m by 180 m and the heighth of the upper temples is more than 34 m. It was built around 400-600 A.D and must have covered much older buildings, closing off the north side of the great plaza of Izamal.
Izamal Municipal Market
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Another of Izamal's gifts is its cuisine, which has all the charm and wonder of Yucatecan food. The market or a good restaurant are an opportunity to gratify your palate with the exquisite mestizo touch of these lands: beans with pork, chaya with egg, chicken stew, stuffed cheese, salbutes, panuchos, papadzules, longaniza, cochinita pibil, joroches, mucbil pollo, pimes and tamales are just a few of the dishes that can be enjoyed accompanied by xtabentun, balché, anís drink, pozol with coconut or a fresh horchata drink.
Izamal
  • 45m
Izamal remains a place of pilgrimage within the state of Yucatán, now for the veneration of Roman Catholic saints. Several saints statues at Izamal are said to perform miracles. An early colonial era statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception ("Our Lady of Izamal") is particularly venerated, and is the state's patron saint.[8] The Yucatec Maya language is still heard at least as much as Spanish in Izamal. It is the first language in the homes of the majority of the people. Most signs are in both languages.
Selva Maya
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket included
It's a hidden gem nestled in the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s located in the historic Selva Maya Hacienda, where the tranquillity and serenity of the jungle become one with us. Here, natural beauty intertwines with tranquillity, crafting the perfect oasis to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the magic of nature.
