What you can expect

This 4-hour journey takes you through centuries-old olive trees cultivated by the Muntanya family, who bring generations of experience to olive care and oil production.

As you wander through the Valley, uncover stories of crimes, secrets, and treasures, including the fascinating discovery of the Treasure of Villena from the Bronze Age. With 59 pieces of gold, silver, iron, and amber, this treasure is a significant piece of Spain's history.

The tour begins with a visit to the oldest houses and farmhouses in La Canyada, revealing the stories that have unfolded over the years. Move among centuries-old olive trees to reach Casa del Fornes, where the tales of secrets, crimes, and legends related to the Treasure of Villena come to life.

Continue to Bodega Centenaria, a 19th-century winery, to learn about traditional winemaking methods still practised today. The breakfast-lunch, held in the olive grove around 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m., features a tasting-pairing of oils, wines, herbero, cheeses, artisan sausages from Canyada, and delicious bread.
