What you can expect

With the Niagara Escarpment passing right through it, the city of Hamilton is rich in natural beauty, its peaks and valleys stretching clear across city limits. Today's group tour will be a fun outing exploring the region's charming forested landscape, with stunning lookouts to boot.

Who would've thought it, cliffs in Ontario. A short hike to start the day brings us to the edge of Dundas Peak, where you'll look out over Spencer Gorge & Hamilton's township of Dundas way down below. This perfect place to see Canada's vibrant fall colours is also in close proximity to several cascading waterfalls that will truly impress (*here we visit Tew's Falls and Webster's Falls). With a title like “Waterfall Capital of the World,” how can you miss this

Next, frollic down the rabbit hole through Hamilton's Botanical Gardens. We'll hike you out to marshlands strewn with giant reeds, where you can try your hand at some bird watching. Here, you can regularly spot swans and herons milling about the water -a great opportunity for some one-of-a-kind photos.

We wrap up the tour with a visit to Borer's Falls, a 15 metre-high ribbon-style waterfall, often featured on Hamilton's postcards. Lush green vegetation lines the unguarded cliffs here, and the peacefulness offers guests an opportunity to soak in the day's excitement before enjoying a well-deserved nap on our drive home.
