Description

End your day by watching the sun sink slowly over majestic Uluru, a 700-million-year-old rock formation rising from the red sand of the central part of Australia’s Northern Territory. Soak up sweeping views of both Uluru and the spectacular Kata Tjuta formation.

Enter the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and glide across its iconic landscapes towards Kata Tjuta, where you enjoy a scenic walk. Then, depending on the weather, your group takes a walk through either the Valley of the Winds or the Gorge, each offering views that showcase the area’s spectacular colours and geology. Your guide provides a great introduction to indigenous culture and ancient art along the way.

Next, make your way to a sunset viewing area that places the grandeur of Uluru squarely in your sights. Watch the sun gradually descend over the central Australian terrain and marvel at the rays of light bouncing off the rosy desert sand. Once the sun has disappeared, regroup for a hassle-free trip back to your accommodation.

Joe was a brilliant guide and, as two oldies, we really enjoyed the company of the young people on the trip. Joe's knowledge, friendliness and commentary made the day. We would definitely recommend.

When i booked my trip i was under the impression that the tour was uluru base walk and sunset. Not kata tjuta walk. The tour group was still pleasant though
