Guide to Poland 3 Part Course Appleton WI
During the course you will learn Polish geography, climate and interesting facts about Poland.
Each session with start with Polish language class of the most common phrases.
I will spend some time talking about Polish history, World War II, Solidarity movement and changes that took place in Poland in 1989 and helped the country flourish and transition to democracy.
The are 16 National Holidays in Poland and we will learn about one of them, All Saints celebrated on November 1st.

Overview

This course will help you to prepare for your trip to Poland, make sure you're empowered with travel tips and answers to the commonly asked questions about my home country.

In each of three different 60 minutes sessions we will cover:

  1. Polish language with a focus on pronunciation: greetings and farewells, directions, and use of the phrases like “Excuse me”, “I am”, “Where is?” or “How much is?”. We will discuss how to use Google Translate, Chat GPT and Duo Lingo, a free language app.

  2. Travel tips with useful handouts that will include: a list of gifts to buy in Poland, the most popular dishes (yes, you will be eating more than just Pierogi!), books and films to check in your library and online, and a check list of things to prepare before your trip.

  3. Presentations about geography, weather, government, currency, history, public holidays, and safety in Poland.
