Depart from London and head west into the Royal County of Berkshire, about 1.5 hours drive away. Arrive at Highclere Castle early before the crowds arrive. After visiting the inside of the castle, explore the splendid grounds and gardens of Lord and Lady Carnarvon.
Next, head north to the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Explore some of the filming locations made famous by the worldwide smash hit TV series “Downton Abbey” including the village hospital, the Dog and Duck, Mrs. Crawley's house, and more.
Time permitting, continue to the village of Swinbrook for a late lunch followed by a visit to Cogges Farm, a historic farmstead that doubled as “Yew Tree Farm” in Downton Abbey, before returning to London.
