- A real private tour. Not a "small group tour" often baptized "private".
- Authentic lunch, drink coffee, and dessert in a convenient location with local people. We avoid touristy locations for a more “real Greece” experience. No fixed menus.
- Usually “avoided” by most tours: A visit to Palamidi fortress and walk down the 999 steps to the “old town” of Nafplio!
- Pickup and drop-off from/to Ermioni Port or Metohi Pier.
- Brand new (2020-23) non-smoking vehicles & tour leaders.

- Each traveller is allowed one small hand baggage (unless you are heading for Athens).

- Our tour leaders' background is in archaeology, history, and hospitality. They also have a very good knowledge of the destinations you visit & overnight and also the local people. This will allow you to blend in with the local communities and feel very relaxed.
- Oversized or excessive luggage is not allowed for this day trip unless you book for the Athens drop-off.

- Boat tickets to and from Hydra (approx €8 per person each way).

A great & easy way to enjoy a private tour from the beautiful island of Hydra. At the end of the day, you can optionally head to Athens (only a 90-minute drive) or back to Ermioni port to catch the boat to Hydra (25-minute ride) with your tour leader organising everything for you.
This tour weaves through multiple key UNESCO landmarks from the famous for its amazing acoustics theatre of Epidaurus to King Agamemnon’s Mycenae site to the Venetian “old town” of Nafplio to Palamadi Fortress, where you will walk down all 999 steps before a breathtaking vista of the peninsula. There, you will take in your authentic Greek lunch, drinks, and desserts (all included) with the help of your tour leader.
Option: You can also consider starting your tour from Athens to finally be dropped off at Ermioni or Metochi port where you can catch the 25-minute ferry to Hydra Island! We will assist you with the ferry tickets.

You simply need to get on a short boat ride from Hydra port to the beautiful peninsula town of Ermioni or the small port of Metohi both across from Hydra where you will meet your guide. You will enjoy a totally personal, flexible experience of some of Greece’s most stunning sights on this full-day tour from Hydra Island.
Meet your driver/tour leader between 8-9 am at Ermioni or Metohi port and embark in a comfortable, private vehicle. A possible first stop is at a great old-fashioned bakery to enjoy Greek coffee, fresh warm bread, and all the famous Greek pies like Spanakopita (spinach pie).
Then, our main first stop is the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Epidaurus is home to an ancient, beautifully preserved theatre. Explore the landmark at your leisure. Once you’ve finished your explorations, return to your private vehicle and head towards the beautiful Nafplio town.
Nafplio, the first capital of Greece, is famous for its historic architecture. Visit the famous Venetian fortress of Palamidi in Nafplio and optionally, walk down the 999 steps to enjoy the most amazing views. Walk through the beautiful narrow streets of the old town.
Next, enjoy a sit-down, traditional Greek lunch accompanied by drinks and dessert, before returning to your vehicle and making your way to Mycenae. A second UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to some of Greece’s most famous ancient ruins. Wander around the archaeological site and accompanying museum before hopping back in the vehicle to head back to Hydra or even Athens.
