Description

Sports cars, delicious cheeses, and cured meats are just a few of things Italy is known for, and this full-day tour lets you immerse yourself in each of them. Enjoy skip-the-line admission to the Ferrari Museum, followed by visits to local producers of cheese and cured meats, with plenty of tastings.

Start your day with a visit to a local cheese producer and learn about the intricate process used to make the perfect Parmesan cheese. See how the milk is cooked, witness it being poured into caractheristc moulds, and get a look at the salt and ageing rooms. End your visit by tasting various Parmesans of different ages.

Move along to a prosciutto producer and learn about the history of salted ham in Italy, which dates back to around 100 BC. Enjoy samples of some savoury meats. Complement your tasting with a glass of Lambrusco, the local wine.

Next, make your way to the Ferrari Museum and jump to the front of the line with your guide. Wander this impressive museum's many halls and displays, delving into the fascinating history of these popular cars and seeing them up close.

Finally, visit a private estate that has produced traditional balsamic vinegar since 1870. The estate's cellar houses over 1,000 barrels, and you get to enjoy tastings of 15- and 30-year-old varieties.

A traditional, 6-course meal is also included, featuring food and wine that help provide a truly authentic Italian dining experience. End your day with hassle-free transport back to your hotel.

A smooth pick up and we journey out of the city to a country area to see how cheese, cured meat and balsamic vinegar was made. All was very informative with tasting samples provided. A final stop for lunch where many traditional dishes were sampled with local wines. A thoroughly enjoyable day with a great bunch of people.
