What you can expect

  • Spectacular atmosphere around Hamburg's new landmark and world-famous concert hall with a certified tour guide

Discover the Elbphilharmonie in all its facets with us. The tour starts at the Baumwall U-Bahn station, where you can already feel the unique atmosphere and breathtaking allure of the Elbphilharmonie. After the outdoor tour, you will ride up the longest curved escalator in the world and gain access to the plaza. After the tour, you can then enjoy the breathtaking view in peace and take snapshots for the family album. Your certified tour guide will share entertaining anecdotes and extensive insider knowledge with you.

There are many questions behind Hamburg's new landmark. Today, it is a world-renowned concert hall. Your tour guide will explain! From the – perhaps – too perfect acoustics in the Main Hall (no visit to the concert halls included) to a unique view. A professional tour guide will explain to you how the construction delays came about and what the Elbphilharmonie means for Hamburg today. Together, we will take a balanced look at the advantages and disadvantages of the project. You will be provided with many facts and insider knowledge during the tour:

Why did the Elbphilharmonie cost so much?
How did they manage to create a landmark for decades, despite a construction stop and a tenfold increase in costs?
What is the price for an overnight stay and who lives in the “Elphi”?
What special materials is the concert hall made of?

After the tour, enjoy one of the most beautiful views in Hamburg over the city and the gigantic harbour. Now join us in unraveling the mystery of the Elbphilharmonie.
