What you can expect

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt Zizi Valley - Erg Chebbi Dunes

The tour will depart from Fez and head towards the stunning green regions of the Middle Atlas. On the way, you'll get to see some marvellous views of the mountains as well as charming Berber villages. You'll also stop in Immouzer, a little mountain town where you'll have the chance to relax and take in the cool mountain air. Next, continue to Ifrane, sometimes known as ' The Little Moroccan Switzerland.' Admire the tall green trees and beautiful rivers as you relax and enjoy the spectacular calm away from the bustle of the big city.

Stop in a cedar forest where you'll go on tour exploring the forest and perhaps meet some little tricky monkeys. Then, head to Midelt, the city of rocks where you'll get to try a delicious Moroccan Tagine and taste authentic Berber food.

Afterwards, start driving through some of the remarkable Middle Atlas villages and watch the mountain landscape gradually morph from rocky formation into speckled sand dunes. The last stop on day one will be Merzouga, the gateway to the Moroccan Sahara. Camels will be waiting for you here. Head out on an inspiring camel trek through the dramatic golden sands and see a beautiful Sahara sunset. You'll spend the night in a cosy desert camp. Gather around the campfire and enjoy a delicious meal before you sleep under the starry night sky.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi Dunes - Rissani - Erfoud - Fez

Start the day with an early morning camel trek and witness the remarkable beauty of the sunrise in the desert. Next, head back to a deluxe hotel in Merzouga to have breakfast and get some rest. Before heading to Rissani, the old market centre, visit its authentic colourful souk and mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Moroccan ruling Alaouite Dynasty. The following stop will be in Erfoud, Morocco's palm date and fossil capital. See the captivating old rocks and learn more about local life.

Afterwards, head to Fez and stop in a Berber village on the way and have a delicious local dish for lunch. Once more, you will drive through the stunning landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, before you are dropped back at your accommodation in Fez.
