Tour itinerary:

  1. Bogd Khaan Palace Museum
The Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan, or the Bogd Khan Palace Museum, is a museum complex located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It was part of larger complex called the “Green Palace”, an imperial residence of the eighth Jebtsundamba Khutught, who was later proclaimed Bogd Khan, or ruler of Mongolia. The Bogd Khaan Museum is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week, so we could visit the Choijin Lama Temple Museum instead. Alternatively, we could go horseback riding at Terelj National Park.

  2. Zaisan Hill
This tall landmark in front of the city offers the best views of Ulaanbaatar and the surrounding nature. The large monuments on the top of the hill were erected for the memory of soldiers dead in World War II.

  3. Chinggis Khaan statue
Genghis Khan Statue Complex, is a 40-metre (130 ft) tall, stainless steel statue of Genghis Khan on horseback and the world's tallest equestrian statue.[2] It is located on the bank of the Tuul River at Tsonjin Boldog, 54 km (33.55 mi) east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, where, according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace. It is on top of the Genghis Khan Statue Complex, a visitor centre, itself 10 metres (33 ft) tall, with 36 columns representing the 36 khans from Genghis to Ligdan Khan. It was designed by sculptor D. Erdenebileg and architect J. Enkhjargal and erected and opened in 2008 to honour the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongol Empire.

  4. Drive to Terelj National Park visit to Turtle rock
Gorkhi-Terelj is one of Mongolia’s national parks, 55 km northeast from Ulaanbaatar city. Unlike the nearby steppes, it has mountains and trees, including large stands of tamaracks that turn golden in the fall. The park has a magnificent alpine landscape, many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes a famous formation named Turtle Rock (Melkhii Khad) for the shape it resembles.

  5. Arya Bal Meditation Temple Hiking
One of the most beautiful spots in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park apart from its nature is Aryabal Temple. This hidden-in-the-mountains temple is located near Turtle Rock, 56 km away from Ulaanbaatar city. Surrounding areas attraction full of granite formations set among scenic valleys and hills with a winding river and groves of trees.

  6. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar
