We meet right in the heart of the historic old town of Copenhagen, close to the demarcation to the cool Nørrebro district.
Once gathered, we'll start right away with our culinary journey.
So, prepare your taste buds!
Along the way we dive into the history of Danish cuisine and the vibrant urban district Nørrebro, while we taste traditional Danish food and drinks.
We'll hop on public transport and head to the the end of the trendy Nørrebro district, where your guide will bring you back towards the city centre through the streets of this very popular area, which has the most multi-cultural population in Copenhagen.
You'll taste the traditional Danish 'smørrebrød', the Danish open-faced sandwiches, made of tender ryebread and different toppings, the popular hotdogs and of course the delicious Danish pastries, sometimes shortened to just Danish, among others.
Not to forget a cold beer and a good liquor or schnapps, chocolate and other sweet treats.
Some tastings may vary following the season or holiday traditions.
In Nørrebro we pass the burial place of the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen and if time, we'll pass what is called the City Oasis, a place with some smaller farm animals for the local children to take care off and urban vegetable gardens.
After enjoying 8 to 9 delightful tastings, we'll end our food walking tour back at the bustling Copenhagen Food Halls called Torvehallerne, close to our starting point.
Torvehallerne is a food market with fresh market goods and take away or eat in stalls.
You'll experience 3,5 to 4 hours of fantastic food, drinks, fun and history.
On this tour we walk around 5,5 km/3,4 miles.
Join us, you'll not regret it!
