From your starting point at Pargua, catch a ferry across the Chacao Channel, which separates the mainland from the island of Chiloé. During the boat trip, you can observe sea lions, pelicans and seabirds typical of the region. Your first stop is Chacao, where you can admire the town’s churches and traditional larch-wood buildings, which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Later on, visit the beach resort of Caulín to admire its rich marine life. At Ancud, you can see the Fort of San Antonio, its local museum, the Plaza de Armas and the Municipal Market.
The last leg of your tour takes you to the Lacuy Peninsula, which consists of small bays and spectacular beaches such as Lechagua, Mar Brava and Quetalmahue, where you can find a breathtaking view of the island.
