Description

Hop aboard a double-decker bus to explore the highlights and landmarks of Charlottetown, listening as your guide shares anecdotes and the history of the capital of Prince Edward Island and offers insider tips on the restaurants, attractions and areas to visit after your tour.

Climb into a London-style tour bus and make your way down Great George Street, admiring the Victorian architecture of Beaconsfield Historic House. Learn about the creation of the Canadian Confederation as you pass by the Province House – a National Historic Site that is the seat of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island.

Pass by the Charlottetown Driving Park, a horse-racing track that has been in operation since the 1800s, and turn into the waterfront at Victoria Park. Check out the walking trails, board-walk and arboretum, and hear the legends behind eerie Dead Man’s Pond. Finally, pass by the stately Government House – the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. This stately white, colonial-style home is a National Historic Site.

Before disembarking, pick up tips and suggestions from your guide regarding areas to roam on your own and on the favourite local eateries for grabbing a bite to eat.

Tour guide gave lots of interesting information. The drive was beautiful. We were given an hour to enjoy Peggy’s Cove. At the cemetery the guide led us on a walking tour of the Titanic graves and shared many facts.
