Located in the heart of Lima’s Historic Centre, Casa Aliaga is a true architectural treasure that has witnessed the city’s history since 1535, the same year it was founded. This magnificent mansion belonged to the conquistador Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez, a companion of Francisco Pizarro, and has been inhabited by 18 generations of his family, making it the oldest continuously occupied private residence in the Americas. Over the centuries, the mansion has been rebuilt and remodeled, adapting to the architectural trends of each era while preserving its colonial essence. Today, it stands as a symbol of Peru’s rich heritage, with its elegant halls, stunning courtyards, and fascinating stories that will transport you back in time.
