What you can expect
Find the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and scenery on this journey through the sights of Canyonlands National Park. From mesa tops to canyon bases, your guide takes you riding on a 4x4 through the park's back-country trails and boating on the calm waters of the Colorado River.
A comfortable drive brings you to the park in the morning, and you get a spectacular perspective on Island in the Sky as the 4x4 navigates the area's rugged trails. Your professional guides point out the sights as you negotiate the famous switchbacks of Shafer Trail and the sandstone layer of White Rim, and you get plenty of photo opportunities at lookout points along the way.
The next leg of your adventure has you climb on board an inflatable rigid-hull boat for a scenic voyage down the Colorado River. Admire the winding waters of Meander Canyon as you cruise to the shores below Dead Horse Point, where your group stops for a picnic lunch by the water.
In the afternoon, your guide leads you go to the natural alcove called the Grotto and shows off whole petrified trees in a forest turned to stone, explaining the remarkable geology on display throughout the park. The outing comes to a close with your return trip to Moab, wrapping up a day filled with incredible nature.
