We gather at Tondaya, a traditional Kyoto style townhouse and kimono store, and will explore the designs and drafts for authentic kimono. Afterwards it is time for a workshop Japanese calligraphy. Open your heart and express your character by creating your unique calligraphy style!

15:00-16:00
After finishing our workshop, we will walk for around 30 minutes to Daitokuji Daisen-in, a local temple.

16:00-17:30 (Until 6:00 p.m. from March to November) After our arrival at Daitokuji Daisen-in, we will explore the wonderful gardens and look at the famous fusuma paintings. A monk will lead a seated meditation session (zazen) in this beautiful temple built in the 1500`s. Lastly, you can ask about anything you wish to know in the comfort a cup of tea and Japanese sweets.

※Zazen hours vary depending on the season.
(Please note that the end time also varies accordingly.)
・March to November: 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
・December to February: 4:30pm to 5:30pm

Upon arrival at Daitokuji, please spend time viewing the temple or walking around Daitokuji until your zazen time.
