What you can expect

Taste some of the most locally beloved Brazilian dishes and discover why so many food connoisseurs flock to Rio during a 4-hour traditional cooking class. Learn how to serve delicious Brazilian food with master chefs walking you through each step of the way – no experience necessary.

Learn to cook Moqueca, a decadent seafood-coconut stew originally from Bahia, or Feijoada, a black bean and pork stew served over cassava sticks. The master chef guides you from start to finish, describing how to pick the freshest ingredients and the best practices for prepping your dishes.

While you cook, quench your thirst with 2 mouthwatering alcoholic drinks: the world-renowned Caipirinha cocktail and a Brazilian favourite, the coconut-based Batida de Coco cocktail. Don’t forget to write down all the ingredients and instructions along the way so you can impress your family and friends back home.

Class Script:

1 - “Batida de Coco”, an Alcoholic coconut based drink

2 - Introduction to the history of Brazilian cuisine

3 - Curd cheese with pepper jam and sausage flambé with onion.

4 - Caipirinha class in various fruits

5 - Moqueca or Feijoada class (to be determined on the day), both with rice and banana farofa. Dessert: Chocolate Brigadier or Exotic Fruit
