TOUR OF THE ROSARIO ISLANDS AND SNORKELING
Perfect for both beginners and experienced snorkellers, this adventure guarantees an exciting day in the Colombian Caribbean Sea. Join us for a memorable exploration of the breathtaking underwater beauty of our islands.
We will start our tour at 8:00 a.m. after picking you up at the door of your hotel or at our meeting point in Cartagena das Índias. From there, we will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Barú Peninsula.
Along the way, we will enjoy a scenic drive through Cartagena de Indias, taking in the panorama of the city's large bay. We will explore the various areas along the coast, including Mamonal, where Colombia's most important petrochemical industries are located.
After crossing a bridge that opened in 2014, we will reach the island of Baru. This peninsula is separated from the rest of the region by a wide canal built in the 16th century, which is why the locals have always considered themselves an island.
Once we reach the island, we will board a speedboat and venture out onto the open sea, taking in the grandeur and majesty of the Caribbean Sea as we enjoy a scenic tour of the Rosario Islands.
We will make a 30-minute stop at one of the islands to go snorkelling; don't worry about the masks, we'll provide them.
Next, we will head to Playa Blanca in Barú to enjoy a delicious typical Cartagena lunch at a local restaurant, featuring coconut rice, patacones (fried plantain slices), salad, and fried fish. Afterwards, you can relax by the sea or explore Playa Blanca to enjoy a day of sun on the beach, lounging on the golden sand and strolling along the waterfront.
Finally, we will conclude this 7-hour excursion by returning to the starting point in Cartagena.
