Description

Pick up by our guide and ride in private car. Museum Sri Baduga located in a building that references a traditional Sundanese (the main ethic group in West Java) stilted house and is named for the King of Pajajaran, a 15th-16th century Hindu Sundanese kingdom, whose capital corresponds to modern-day Bogor. The museum itself showcases Sundanese history and culture beginning with early archaeological remains.

Museum of Asian-African Conference, inside the Gedung Merdeka (Freedom Building) is dedicated to the Asia-Africa conference of 1955, which was attended by Sukarno, Nehru, Ho Chi Minh, Nasser and other leaders of the developing world. Part of the museum is the curved roof conference room set up much as it would have been at the time, lined with flags from participating nations watched over by Indonesia’s Garuda coat-of-arms.

Gedung Sate (Satay Building), the landmark of Bandung, functions as the Office of the Provincial Governor of West Java. Built in 1920, the building is architecturally significant for being one of the first to combine Indonesian and European styles. The triple-tiered roof on the central tower echoes the Hindu Meru style as well as the roofline of traditional Javanese mosques Angklung is one of Indonesia's traditional and unique musical instrument which is made of bamboo tubes attached to a frame, each has its own notes.Since 2010, it has been recognised by UNESCO as Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, encouraging Indonesians to preserve the culture. Enjoy a short wayang golek (wooden rod puppet) performance, colourful traditional dances and of course the angklung show at a covered open-air amphitheatre of Saung Udjo. Audiences are given the opportunity to learn and play along as well which is the highlight of the show.
