What you can expect

Pair an adventurous ice fishing experience with unobstructed views of the aurora borealis' dancing lights on this combo nighttime adventure. Head out of town with an experienced guide to drop a line through a frozen lake, taking breaks to go outside and watch the Northern Lights sparkle to life.

Put on your warmest jacket and hop into your guide's shuttle as you're whisked away from your Fairbanks hotel. When you reach the lake, hike across the ice to reach your fishing shack and help your guide set up the evening's tackle. Find out what kind of bait works best, drop your line through the ice, and wait for that first exhilarating strike.

Spend a few hours fishing, keeping your catch for a dinner of grilled fish, and take peek-a-boo looks outside to see when the Northern Lights appear. When they do, alternative between fishing inside and viewing outside for the remainder of the night, heading back to your hotel early in the morning.

The Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and can not be guaranteed. There is no refund if the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights do not appear.
