Departing 08.00 from Athens
First stop, Hydra, the living museum. A car free island. The famous cosmopolitan Greek island that has capture the imagination of Greek and international poets, painters, and celebrities, inspired by the landscape, to capture a haven of creativity. The unique architecture of the port town, on the slops of a hill, is distinguished by the old traditional stone houses, elegant mansions built by the island's noble ship-owners, the fortresses, paved streets and the traditional means of transport - the donkeys.
Next stop Poros , the neoclassical. Beautifully green, covered in thousands of pine trees. The narrow streets, the imposing neoclassical buildings. Poros is called the 'Venice' of the Saronic Gulf' because of its geographical location separated from Peloponnes by a narrow channel of water.
Final stop Aegina, the first capital of modern Greece, just a short distance from from Athens. According to the myth Aegina takes its name from the beautiful nymph kidnaped by Zeus. One of the fascinating highlights is the Temple of Afaia, dated back 2,500 years to the 6th Century BC, a tribute to the monumental art of ancient Greece . A visit to the magnificent church of St. Nectatrios and Monastery is one of the most spiritual rewarding experience. On a steep hill next to the church, all that remains of Palaiochora, are 33 churches which represents a fraction of the rumoured 365, one of every day of the year
