You tour begins at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aia Piccola, found in the heart of the city of the trulli. Trulli are traditional houses built entirely of stone without mortar or cement. Every year, thousands of tourists come to see this ancient city and its relics of rural life.
Tour the historical centre of the city and follow the narrow streets through the areas of Aia Piccola and Monti. Visit the ancient church of St. Anthony, the only trullo-shaped church in the world, opened to the public in June 1927. Inside of the Sovereign Trullo (housed in the museum), find decor typical to the 20th century, and discover why it was declared an Italian national monument in 1923.
