The Shikoku pilgrimage (which is called “Ohenro”) has a history of over 1,200 years and is recommended for those who is want to learn how buddhism is familiarised in Japan and who would like to experience it.
Wearing a rental “Ohenro” outfit, then you will experience a 30-minute walking pilgrimage from Dogo Onsen Station to Ishite Temple, which is the fifty-first temple of the Shikoku pilgrimage. And also, the temple is got a star on Michelin Green Guide Japan.
The guide will teach you the etiquette of the pilgrimage, and interest tradition and storey relevant “Ohenro” pilgrimage.
