What you can expect
Hop onboard for a day trip from Alken/Mosel for sightseeing cruise to Koblenz /Rhine.
Depart from Alken and head along the Moselle river to Koblenz. Enjoy views of old castles, terraced vineyards, forests, steep mountain slopes, and the surrounding Kobern-Gondorf and Winningen passing charming riverside scenes. After the second lock in Koblenz we arrive Koblenz and the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine. /p>
Around noon, explore the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) in Koblenz home to one of the most poignant memorials to German unity in the country a taste of the historic ans enjoy 2.5 hours of free time to explore the place on your own.
See several monuments dedicated to German history, such as the equestrian statue of William I, the first German Emperor, erected in 1897 in appreciation of his role in the unification of Germany.
You can take the cable car over the Rhine to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress for panoramic views of the Deutsches Eck from the top. Stop by wine bars and restaurants or shop for souvenirs.
2.30 pm the ship start the return journey from the Rhine to the Moselle with the villages Winningen, Kobern, Oberfell, Kattenes, Alken, Löf and Brodenbach.
