I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is fantastic. I didn’t love the duck Margaret so much but otherwise everything was perfect.

A fantastic boutique hotel. I would gladly stay there again, and will recommend to anyone travelling to Dublin. Beautifully renovated rooms, large by European standards, well located. Staff were friendly and helpful. 5 stars for sure!

Comfy bed, great location, very clean.

This hotel is located in the heart of Kilkenny about 2 blocks from the castle. We did notice a little clutter and congestion in the parking lot (free parking included with stay) but only because of some ongoing renovations during our stay. This is my second stay at this hotel so I can recommend staying here. The only thing lacking in the rooms is a small bar fridge. A extremely convenient location next to Heuston Station where you can board lrains to other cities for one day excursions and tours. . Bus stop steps away for 26 bus and hop on hop off tour buses. The red line LUAS tram also stops at Heuston Station. Just to the west is Ryans Parkgate Restaurant which reputedly has one of the best seafood chowders in Dublin, Nancy...

Very close to the airport short shuttle bus they offer and your there. Easy to catch city bus downtown Dublin. All staff were very friendly and helpful

The location is wonderful... steps from the castle and from shops and cafes. The hotel is beautiful, especially the entry and seating area. There is a steak house in the hotel. The rooms were nice, very comfortable mattress and pillows. Everything was clean and new. The pool, gym, sauna, and steam rooms were a wonderful addition.

My husband and I recently stayed at Old Ground Hotel for 3 days. We found the location was excellent in order to visit points of interest in the surrounding area. The hotel offers old world charm and our room was spacious and our bed was very comfortable to get good nights sleep. Really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back to this hotel in the future.
