If you need a place to run away to during those cold Canadian winter months this year, consider visiting Phoenix.
This warm city offers a variety of activities everyone will enjoy. Get out, soak up the sun, and play!

The art walk has been taking place for 30 years. Enjoy the perfect weather on any Thursday (except for Thanksgiving) and enjoy a variety of artists and their masterpieces. You will find paintings, sculptures, and jewelry.
Taliesin West
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, this former home of the famous architect is now the Frank Lloyd Wright Memorial Foundation and School of Architecture. This superstructure was built at the foothills of the McDowell Mountains. There are a variety of tours available and include a night lights tour.
Montezuma Castle
If you don’t mind a day trip, take a short drive to get a close look at the pueblo ruins. Take a step back in time and observe the cliff dwellings at Montezuma Castle National Monument. Discover how people survived the hot sun and monsoon season before modern conveniences came to be. While you are in the neighbourhood, you can also stop by Tuzigoot National Park to walk among the ruins.
Oasis Water Park
If you need a place to stay while visiting Phoenix, consider the Arizona Grand Resort. Not only is this resort a wonderful place to rest your head, it comes with a great perk… a water park. Guaranteed to be hit with the whole family. They have it all from a lazy river, water slides, to a wave pool.
Phoenix Zoo
During November through January you can experience Zoolights at the Phoenix Zoo. During this Holiday event, you can watch two incredible Music in Motion light shows, see over 3 million Christmas lights, ride the carousel, and watch as an ice sculptor sculpts!
Children’s Museum of Phoenix
Stop by this interactive museum where your children will be able to learn through interactive play. Get lost in the Noodle Forest and let your children cook up a meal for you at the Texture Café. The Whoosh exhibit will supply some giggles, ohhhs, and awws as they discover the power of air through scarves and tubes. By all means, let them run around at the Move It exhibit that takes up the museum’s front yard.
