Forbes unveils latest travel guide star ratings
Every year, the Forbes Travel Guide unveils its selection of the best hotels, restaurants and spas from around the world. On Feb. 11, 2015, the publication has announced the 57th annual rendition of the Star Rating program, listing off everything from luxury hotels in Costa Rica to the best spa resort to visit in Hong Kong.
The Forbes Travel Guide Star Ratings are compiled by a group of inspectors who fly to various lodging and dining establishments around the world, secretly staying and reviewing their experiences. After tallying the results, the list currently has a total of 115 Five-Star hotels, 55 Five-Star restaurants and 48 Five-Star spas from around the world. Several countries and regions also made their debut on the list, including Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Japan and Thailand. Here's a look at the top hotels, restaurants and spa resorts from around Canada:
Five-Star hotels selected from around the country included:
- Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver – British Columbia
- Rosewood Hotel Georgia – British Columbia
- Four Seasons Hotel Toronto – Ontario
- Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto – Ontario
Plenty of Four-Star restaurants were also chosen from around Canada, including:
- Bishop's Restaurant – British Columbia
- America Restaurant at the Trump International Hotel and Tower – Ontario
- Scaramouche Pasta Bar & Grill – Ontario
- Panache at the Auberge Saint-Antoine – Quebec
- Restaurant L'Initiale – Quebec
Finally, the list featured the following spas in their rankings:
- Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs – Alberta
- Sense Spa at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia – British Columbia
- Ancient Cedars Spa at the Wickaninnish Inn – British Columbia
- Stillwater Spa at the Park Hyatt Toronto – Ontario
- Spa My Blend by Clarins at The Ritz-Carlton Toronto – Ontario
