Road Trip Tip: Don’t underestimate the value of a great guide. Our Grand Canyon Jeep tour booked through the Expedia app was excellent and perfectly suited for our kids. A mix of driving, walking and great information brought the Canyon to life for us.

Those fascinated by aliens won’t be disappointed by Roswell, New Mexico. The small town offers plenty of alien photo stops, a McDonalds shaped like a spaceship and quirky shops and museums to explore.
Road Trip Tip: Sometimes the places you haven’t heard of offer you something you weren’t expecting. Alpine had fantastic murals and was next door to the famous Marfa Lights. It was one of those destinations we likely would never have seen had we not been open to venturing off the beaten path.
