My family and I are always pleased to visit this hotel and staff. Everyone is always so friendly. Vibes are always good. Brunch downstairs at the dwntnr, chef’s kiss.

Room was not eady at check in time

The service and the caliber of the guestrooms was remarkable. And I don’t say that lightly. Between the turndown service and the mid morning check-in, our room was always clean —& up to snuff. I also appreciated the warm response of all the hotel stuff from when I needed to borrow two umbrellas to getting my car out of valet parking. It was such a wonderful experience and the location is phenomenal. Exactly what my partner and I were looking for.

I travel extensively and don’t normally write hotel reviews. But this time I feel compelled to do so because I feel like this hotel is vastly over-rated (as it is, at best, a 3-star rather than 4-star as listed) and over-priced. The issues were numerous—none of which individually is a big deal, but none of which I would normally see in a 4-star hotel, and one of which is unacceptable at any hotel of any level. The latter is the fact that I found a long black hair on the bottom sheet of my bed when I pull back the sheet to go to sleep. Other issues: I got there early so checked a bag while I waited for check-in, but didn’t receive a claim stub like one normally would at a 4-star hotel; the security door chain in my room was broken so I couldn’t use it; the bathroom fan was so loud that I declined to use it; the main rug on the bedroom floor was visibly grimy and worn; the breakfast room had plastic utensils; the pancakes there were literally inedible; and I waited 10 minutes to check out because there was nobody at the front desk or in the lobby (which was odd since I checked out at 11 am, which was the official check-out time. I had to find my way back into the restaurant kitchen to ask for help). I don’t know exactly how the star-rating is done but whoever assigned 4 stars to this hotel clearly missed the mark.
