My second time staying. This time the sweet had a beautiful expanded and modern kitchen. However, virtually no dishes, pots or pans and no cutlery. Needless to say it was a beautiful kitchen, but not as much use except to keep things in the fridge. Manager should at least add some cutlery.

An historic building, convenient to everything on the Royal Mile. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). I enjoyed my stay immensely.

What stood out was that this is such a unique building with historical value, the best views and a lovely bar next door!

This was one of the quietest city stays we’ve ever had, which was a pleasant surprise (especially since our room was right next to car park and service entrance). Rhiannon was very helpful: stowing bags, booking a taxi, answering our questions, and arranging an early check-in.. All the staff was very kind and warm. Anna was also lovely. We would not stay in the same room (220–The Skerry) again: it was so small that it was hard to open our suitcases AND move about in the available floor space, And the bathroom door is a very thin slider (zero privacy), the full size mattress was not only too small for two adults, but very firm (not in a good way). Worst of all, was the overpowering fruity scented Glade air freshener that made the room uninhabitable for the first few hours. Thankfully the window worked and we were able to air it out (and remove the noxious device from the plug). I guess we just imagined something classier. The view at reception was into a cluttered service area, which was a bit off-putting, as was the dust on the reception desk, and cobwebs on the stairs and in some of the corners in the lobby. Might be time for some spring cleaning. Still, we liked the location, garden, breakfast service, and bar area. We heard that dinner was excellent. We loved the classy lighting, real art work, oriental rugs, and soft chairs in the dining areas. We will try for a different room next time.

Beautiful property near Royal Mile. Staff wonderful. Property beautiful. Breakfast awesome. Highly recommended

Good location if you’re visiting the Britannia.

Excellent location, huge space with everything we needed including laundry! Could have used instructions for it though. Great shower. Tall dealings. The bed and pillows are a tad hard. Overall highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Tiger Lily and would definitely stay here again. Our room was beautiful, with enormously high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a fireplace that gave it a lot of character. The robes and bathroom amenities were a really nice touch as well. The staff was consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay. I also loved the layout of the hotel , there were only two rooms on each floor, key access was required, and it felt very private and secure. One thing to know before booking is that Tiger Lily is also a very busy restaurant and bar. It seemed lively all day and especially busy at night, so at times it felt more like a restaurant with rooms upstairs than a traditional hotel experience. Our stay included breakfast, which was excellent, although because it started at 8AM we were only able to enjoy it once because we already had activities planned. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely return.

Lovely apartment on the coast. Comfortable beds, great shower, plenty of storage, convenient laundry in apartment and nice kitchen and living room area. Convenient bus transport to Edinburgh central. Highly recommend for those mot wanting to be in the busy center of town.

Property was fine but bedrooms were quite small and hard to move in.

Wonderful location in Old town right next to Victoria street and a few blocks from the Royal Mile. Very walkable with lots of good food options right outside the door!
