The resort is a bit out of the way but that was what made it special. No cell phone coverage at the resort so you have time to reset and enjoy your surroundings.

The hotel is in a stunning location. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with great food this is unbeatable. Staff are excellent, welcoming and humorous. And if you want fishing then it is perfect. We will go back.

The staff at the castle were exceptional. They went over and above to make sure they provided a wonderful stay for our family. The lodge rooms were superb, the grounds were gorgeous, and the dog walk was so fun! I cannot emphasize enough gratitude towards the staff. Thank you tor everything.

Hotel location was great, as we climbed Croagh Patrick before checking in and it was in walking distance of the Westport City Center. The car park is tight!

Best thing about this place is the bed and reception staff. Bed was incredibly huge and comfortable. Reception staff were great, helpful and understanding. Sadly that's it. The pool area, changing rooms and surrounding areas very unhighenic. Lots was also out of order, the steam room and jacuzzi for example. Broken hairdryers and lockers in the changing rooms. Drinks and dinner was expensive but service was pretty bad. I struggled to get served at the bar while the staff were busy arguing with eachother. Thankfully the reception manager took the outstanding bill off for us when we left as we were so disappointed with our stay.
