Excellent staff who makes the stay perfect

We had the most amazing honeymoon, from the get go we were greeted with smiles and hugs. The property was spectacular, ocean views from your room, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We arranged for massages and had the pleasure of a couples massage in the open air of the island. Dolphin Island is a truly special place not just because of its natural beauty but because of the wonderful people that work there. Dawn was gracious attended to our needs and most importantly allowed us to make the island our home away from home. The staff worked to accommodate whatever we needed and in all reality we didn’t need much. The Island and the people really made our honeymoon special, and we can only help to return again someday!

For the self contained couple who want a positive adjunct to their life, this was perfect. The staff are 10/10.

This location, rooms and staff one of the best I've ever experienced, and I travel a lot. Every question answered, every request met. Welcoming warm people. We can't wait to go back. It's worth the longer travel on the Bula pass. The night fishing was one for the books. We had our own caught fresh fish everyday. 10 stars plus plus

This place is paradise! We went to the four seasons bora bora last year and this place is of similar caliber! Highly recommend it for luxurious relaxing week

Staff was AMAZING, especially Simeli, Mereoni from Activities and Maggy at reception. You can learn so much about Fijian culture with the Fire Walkers, trip to the village, Kava ceremony, etc. The beach was beautiful and the rooms fantastic. The food was delicious and the hospitality of everyone went far and beyond. Vinaka!

Staff were amazing. My son fell sick on the first day and vomited over the sheets. The staff changed them 7 times in two days all with smiles and empathy towards what is happening. Food was delicious and bed was comfortable

The Tanoa was a complete hidden gem. We booked this stay for a single night before we fly home from Fiji and we regretted not booking with them a few days longer. The bar was a very lively spot at night and had amazing cocktails made by the Great Filamoni!!! He was so fun and witty and kept great company. Our dinner was absolutely fantastic and we felt very well catered to by our host Saiasi. He was great at anticipating our needs and was ready to help immediately! He was one of the best hosts we have experienced. We booked one of the suite rooms and it was massive inside. It kind of has a vintage 80's Scarface Luxury vibe to the room, but everything was very well taken care of and extremely clean. We were blown away at how great the whole experience was! We will be back to Fiji in a few years for our anniversary and we will definitely be booking with the Tanoa again!!!

Place, it's great if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing time, and if you are ok with booking activities offered by the resort on the island. Otherwise, you will have to pay for transportation every time a boat is needed, and you will have to coordinate with other boats and jump from one to the other in the water, which could be fun, scary, or impossible for others. Just be aware. Plus, of course, you will have to pay both sides to do that for you. And there is a schedule: if your activities end too late after 6pm, you will have to book a place on the mainland to stay, and good luck getting a taxi if you don't book in advance! Best sunrise I have ever seen! Tho! Also, be aware of the food that is limited to what they offer.
