The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

Poor Lighting, room seemed dark. Sound proofing not so good, we could hear everything in the room above us and rooms beside us. Sound proofing would make it alot more of a comfortable stay. Overall, love the decor and the bathroom area was lovely. Do note some areas of paint that needs touching up and additional sealant on some of the tiles. Amazing location, within tram stations, and walkable to canals.

I love how big the hotel rooms were. The high ceiling and the big windows were really nice. The room gave a very 1940’s 1950’s look with the vintage wallpaper. Thought it had a very vintage feel from the 1940’s, the room still felt very modern and up to date. I can’t really explain it. The bathroom was very modern with the standup shower and other functioning appliances. This was definitely a 5 star hotel and I definitely recommend.

the hotel is lovely. nicely redone and the restaurants and food is very good. the only issue and its important....the mattresses are incredibly hard. like sleeping on a table. if you like a hard mattress....this is a good thing....if you like something more comfortable....this is not the place.

When we arrived, there was a light out in our room. It was fixed the next day but I really could have used it at night as it was the hallway light in front of the closet. The guest services person took an order for room service for the second morning as we had to leave before the breakfast opened. Instead of a blueberry muffin, I received blueberry pancakes. Instead of a small mango/yogurt parfait, I received a dish of some kind of yogurt and a dish of mangos. Needless to say, I did not eat breakfast. The best thing about the hotel was the location. We have stayed in and loved other Mandarin Orientals. This was not up to their standards.
