Costa Verde Kid friendly Vacations

Hotel itself was just OK. If you are a tourist, no reason to stay in Barra. Highly recommend staying closer to Copacobana as there is not much to do in Barra. Staff at this hotel were not friendly or very helpful. Very limited English. Breakfast buffet was good but it's the same food day after day without any changes. They charge you for everything including the coffee in the room so beware. Would never stay here again. There are much better hotel choices in this price range.

The gym was useless but you are there by yourself. It has one treadmill and size of a broom closet. Breakfast wasn’t the biggest of selection but not bad. Got the family room with ocean view, it was clean but lacked amenities for the price point. No slippers, at least include one bottle of water for free. Only a small table that fits 2. Barely room for 4 people ( and it was only 3 of us). Selling point is full ocean view but it’s a window that’s pretty high, at 5’3, I have to reach my neck to see out. Weird configuration, a small wall lamps next to night stand, if you are that side of bed, you can’t sit up in bed or you will hit your head. Rooftop view is amazing but area itself is very small. If even handful of guest there, it’s packed. The bar seats three but at least covered. Antonio, the bartender, what a kind, funny and sweet man. He made the stay for us with his pleasant smile. And the Italian restaurant, you have to eat there, the food is excellent. I mainly had their seafood which was amazing. Lemon risotto, perfectly cooked, easy dish to mess up but wow! The location was amazing, never felt unsafe. It’s cleaner than copa beach. Lots of restaurants near by and a small hole in the wall local bar/restaurant where the locals go to. Would I stay at this hotel again… probably not at the price point for the value received but I do prefer Ipanema over copa Ok, the good stuff

The staff at Orla was very accommodating and kind. Customer service was the best I’ve ever experienced. My room was clean and well kept. I felt very safe staying here! The views from my room were incredible - also the room was very quiet even with being on a busy street in Copacabana!

Beautiful stay for our first family Rio trip! The room was spacious with a living room space seperate from the main bedroom. We had a partial beach view from our room ,which was a nice bonus. But the view from the rooftop was exquisite! The rooftop bar was also very convenient, and the complimentary welcome drinks (caipirinhas) were delicious/strong and got us in full vacation mode! The breakfast buffet was delicious, fulfilling, and got us ready for exploration. This location was perfect , right in the middle of Copacabana beach. Plenty of restaurants ,shops, and bars in walking distance. Walking distance to Praça do Lido for tickets and van ride to Christ Redeemer. Short bus ride or Uber to Ipanema. We were disappointed though, to find that the statement in the listing that they're located across from a beach that would provide complimentary chairs and umbrellas, was not true. The hotel does offer towels . But I asked staff about the chairs and umbrellas mentioned in the listing and they had no idea why that was listed. No one on the beach offers these items for free for guests. We were fine without them though. Would absolutely stay here again .

Ocean Front has great views. Rooms were cleaned daily. Pool is heated during cold weather. Highly recommend this hotel.
