The beach was beautiful. Our room was clean, but did have some issues, wall plug-in sockets without protective covers being the biggest. The staff was not real helpful or responsive, and always on "island time".....slow!! Don't eat at the poolside bar unless you have all afternoon, we waited over a half hour for a cocktail, then over an hour for our food, which was not very good. You definitely get what you pay for.

Yes, Bar was well stocked food was available continuously. The only problem was at night the meat was dry. Otherwise the breakfast meals were fantastic. Lunch was great , suppers not so great but good for family. They were a little short of staff. I believe it was hard to get a reservation at a dining room on the facility for evening.

Most of Grand Lucayan is closed from hurricane Mathew but you don't know this until you arrive. All guests have to stay at Lighthouse point which is nice but with not nearly as many amenities. 2 less pools , less convenient dining options, the Casino never reopened.
