Kekova Fishing Vacations

Long check-in lines. $50 mandatory resort fee. Well all I saw was gym and pool chairs without umbrellas and hardly any shade unless additional fee and “opportunity” to pay for overpriced spa. Ok will sit by pool but Rio would not allow non alcoholic energy drinks purchased in resort at premium at pool at 9 in morning and pool empty. + Pool bar drink selection pitiful. Not worth it.

The place is nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the bedroom tv would not turn off. I had to unplug it. It was quiet and relaxing. It is close enough to the strip if you want hit a casino or a show, and you don’t have to deal with the loud noise. It was a little weird to have the bath tub in the bedroom. But for couples that could be a plus.

This hotel could be great if it were properly staffed with a high end hospitality background and about 10-20 more staff overall (servers, valet, bellmen, front desk, maintenance, pool, etc). The food is good, especially the fish tacos and Lobster roll, but the amount of time it took the kitchen to prepare meals at both the Sandpiper and for in-room dining was astonishing. My kids were falling asleep by the time room service would arrive at our room and with incorrect orders. The beds/pillows/bedding are nice but the layout of the staircases to/from each floor is utterly bizarre and because we had an Ocean cows room, the cars, sirens, and honking on Ocean Ave did not make for an ideal way to wake up.

Horrible checkin / checkout... Would never stay there again...Double charged me entire stay and still fighting to get someone to refund 2nd one that is so clearly a duplicate for same stay....
