Good things: Great location with good staff. Excellent breakfast. Good working A/C. Bad things: Extremely loud construction noise literally right next door with connected walls with drilling and banging non stop from 7AM to 7PM. Just terrible! Zero comfort and relaxation in the room during those hours. Also the hotel is extremely dated. Needs a complete remodeling. Nothing works in the room. Shower is terrible with no water pressure. Remodeling of the entire hotel is at least 25 years overdue. Very strange TV set up. Staff are very kind and helpful. Poor condition of the hotel is not their fault. All and all, for the price and location, OK.

Great location, was a little concern about bedding, noise, and overall quality of room based on feedback but was pleasantly surprised with hotel. It is an old hotel, so something aren’t going to be perfect given the age but the location was perfect if you wanted to be close to major sites and restaurants.

Staff were very polite and helpful made check in and out easy . Breakfast was delicious pool very well maintained and drinks were strong ! Highly recommend

Very nice property and the location was excellent... right in the heart of the historic district. But the high point of this hotel is the restaurant. First of all excellent breakfast with a panoramic view of the city from the rooftop. And the dinner menu is outstanding... very unexpected for a hotel restaurant... highly recommended.

The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, more so than most! We had a member of our group with a disability and they were very accomodating of her in terms of room placement, bed separation etc. They also arranged a taxi for us to the train station on our final day and provided recommendations for where to eat nearby. Plus, a check out time of 12pm is a real luxury! The rooftop food and bar upstairs were fantastic quality too, we had top quality sushi and cocktails there. And we really enjoyed our breakfast up there each morning. I would highly recommend Hotel Plaza Opera given all of the above - plus it is in a very central and convenient area!

Quiet, lovely pool area, friendly and helpful staff. The seeview property we stayed in our last day was very nice with an amazing view.
