Extremely Disappointing Experience — Definitely Not the All-Inclusive Experience Advertised I recently stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach All Inclusive Resort & Casino in St. Maarten from September 6–11, 2026, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. What should have been a relaxing birthday vacation quickly became frustrating due to poor customer service, inadequate housekeeping, lack of basic amenities, and an overall failure to deliver what I expected from an all-inclusive resort. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was inconsistent and, at times, extremely unwelcoming. Several employees did not make us feel like valued guests, and getting assistance with basic concerns was unnecessarily difficult. NO HOT WATER — AND THE FRONT DESK FAILED TO ADDRESS IT One of the most unacceptable issues was the lack of hot water. There was hot water when we initially arrived, but afterward, we experienced cold water throughout the remainder of our stay. We contacted the front desk to report the issue, expecting someone to address it promptly. Unfortunately, the problem was not properly resolved. For a resort charging all-inclusive rates, guests should not have to repeatedly request something as basic as hot water. This was especially unacceptable after the issue was reported to hotel staff. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views. The only thing I would ask is that water be restocked daily because it is easy to get dehydrated even if you buy your own water.
