Great resort

My experience at Koi was not quite what I expected. The rooms are modern, and most of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there were several issues during my stay. Immediately after checking in, I had to change rooms because of an obvious maintenance issue. Given the inconvenience, I expected a room upgrade, but the replacement room had an obstructed view and felt more like a downgrade from the original room. Housekeeping also never cleaned my room, despite my specifically requesting service before leaving the hotel for an excursion. In addition, the hot water was not working properly, and the water was lukewarm at best throughout my stay. For the price point, I also expected complimentary breakfast to be included. On a positive note, Stephanie at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, and Sharmon, the driver, was also excellent. Overall, while I liked the modern feel of the property and appreciated the helpful staff, the maintenance and housekeeping issues made the experience less enjoyable than I had anticipated.
