Guests will depart Roseau and drive along coastal villages while learning about the history and culture of the island. After driving through the village of Dublanc you will then enjoy a 2.5 mile drive into the rainforest with the guide stopping at various areas to point out any birding activity along the way.
At the Syndicate Visitors Centre you start the Syndicate Trail with the hopes of spotting the Sisserou and Jaco Parrots, both endemic to the island. This hike will take you on dirt trails through the lush forest with the guide stopping whenever there is a bird sighting. You will arrive at the view point where you can stand or sit to enjoy the view while looking out for the famed Sisserou Parrots.
Continue on to the Indian River and get on board a boat at the mouth of the river.The hour and a half boat ride along this shady mangrove-lined river has you gliding past buttressed bwa mang trees with a chance to spot egrets, crabs, iguanas, hummingbirds and other creatures. Trips include a stop at 'Cobra's Bush Bar' for juice, snacks and 'The Dynamite,' the signature rum drink.
