Continue to your desert camp, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner and experience an authentic evening in the Sahara. Depending on the camp programme, enjoy traditional music, entertainment and time around the campfire before spending the night in your desert tent beneath the stars.
Day 2: Sahara – Chott el Jerid – Tamerza – Return
Wake up early to experience the peaceful desert atmosphere in the morning. Enjoy breakfast at the camp before continuing your journey through southern Tunisia.
Cross the spectacular Chott el Jerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa. Its immense salt flats, shimmering colours and desert mirages create one of the most extraordinary landscapes in Tunisia.
Continue towards the mountain oasis of Tamerza, surrounded by rugged cliffs and dramatic desert scenery. Explore the area, enjoy panoramic views and discover the contrast between the dry desert landscape and the lush oasis.
Take time to capture photos and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before beginning your journey back north.
