What you can expect

  • Explore East Java’s highlights on this 3-day, 2-night shared tour from Surabaya or Malang, visiting Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo, and Ijen Crater, with convenient drop-off options for travellers continuing to Bali.

    Pickup is available from your hotel, airport, or train station in Surabaya or Malang. Travel between destinations in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver.

    Day 1: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
    Visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall in Lumajang, known for its impressive cascade surrounded by green cliffs. Walk and trek to the viewpoints to enjoy the scenery and take photos before continuing to the Bromo area for an overnight stay.

    Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise
    Start early and travel by 4x4 jeep to a sunrise viewpoint in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Enjoy views of the surrounding volcanoes, cross the Sea of Sand, and visit Bromo Crater when access permits. Continue to Savanna and Teletubbies Hill before driving to the Ijen area. Check in to your accommodation and rest before the midnight hike.

    Day 3: Ijen Crater
    Depart shortly after midnight and hike for approximately 1.5–2 hours to reach the crater area. Enjoy views of the turquoise crater lake and surrounding volcanic landscape before descending to the base camp. Blue fire visibility is not guaranteed and depends on conditions and access regulations.

    Choose Your Package

    All options include transport throughout the trip and an English-speaking driver.

    The All-Inclusive option includes 2 nights of accommodation, entrance tickets to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo, and Ijen, a mountaineering guide, breakfast, a 4x4 jeep for Bromo, and a torch, gas mask, and health certificate for Ijen.

    The Excluding option does not include accommodation, entrance tickets, a mountaineering guide, breakfast, the Bromo 4x4 jeep, or Ijen hiking equipment and health certificate. These must be paid for separately during the trip.

    Included accommodation is based on one room for two people. Solo travellers will be paired with another traveller of the same gender, while couples will share a private room. Room changes during the trip are not permitted.
