Overview

The Dallara Academy is an exhibition and educational centre with a modern and visionary design, conceived by Giampaolo Dallara to share over 50 years of passion and expertise in the world of motorsports. Inaugurated in 2018 in Varano de' Melegari, it extends across two floors connected by a dramatic walkable glass ramp. The ground floor houses reception areas and educational workshops, while the ground floor houses the 350-seat auditorium and the MUNER university area. The exhibition features legendary cars such as the Miura, IndyCars, Le Mans prototypes, Formula 3 and Formula E cars, and the Dallara Stradale. The architectural design, by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, is inspired by the harmonious assembly of mechanical parts and enhances the surrounding landscape with a curved glass wall. A place where innovation, education, and speed meet.

The Academy spans two floors, connected by a glass spiral ramp, with public reception and school workshops on the ground floor and the MUNER university training area and auditorium on the ground floor. The building's design is a "harmonious assembly of mechanical parts," featuring a curved wall with a glass cut and three cones for distribution elements and classrooms. Designed by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, it won Best Building Under Construction at the ABB Leaf Awards in 2017. Visitors can explore Dallara’s motorsport history through iconic cars, from the Miura to IndyCars and Formula E, and experience cutting-edge technology. The exhibition ramp connects the two floors, allowing visitors to observe high-performance cars while enjoying views of the Val Ceno. The Academy offers an immersive journey for everyone interested in motorsport.
