What you can expect
On this 50-minute Panorama Sightseeing Tour, you’ll experience Montréal from the unique perspective of the St. Lawrence River. Departing from the city centre, you’ll cruise past the impressive Victoria Bridge, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Next, glide by the Biosphere and admire its striking architecture, then pass the St-Lambert Locks, an engineering marvel that manages the river’s flow. The highlight of the tour is the stop at the Lachine Rapids, one of the largest rapids in North America. This historic stretch of river was encountered by early explorers such as Samuel de Champlain and served as a vital passage for First Nations long before European arrival. While observing the rapids, you’ll also spot local wildlife, including herons, cormorants, and other river birds navigating the fast-moving waters. We are the only company that brings guests this close to the rapids, providing an unforgettable combination of history, nature, and Montréal’s riverfront scenery. Throughout the tour, enjoy comfortable seating, expert narration, and plenty of opportunities to take photos of the city’s landmarks from the water.
This is a dry sightseeing tour. However, depending on weather and river conditions, a light mist or occasional spray may be experienced near the rapids. Complimentary ponchos are available for guests who prefer to remain completely dry.
