What you can expect

  • Experience the authentic charm and emerald waterways of South India on this private 8-day Kerala journey. Tailored for discerning international travellers, this tour balances cultural discovery with generous leisure time—giving you freedom to explore at your own pace without rushed group schedules or forced shopping stops.

Accompanied by a dedicated chauffeur and local experts, travel from Fort Kochi to the cool Western Ghats, finishing along the Vembanad Lake backwaters.

Day 1: Arrival in Cochin & Fort Kochi
Arrive at Cochin Airport or Station, meet your chauffeur, and transfer to your hotel. Later, enjoy a guided walking tour of Fort Kochi’s historic harbour. Discover the Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, and St. Francis Church. (Sightseeing adapts flexibly to your flight timings).

    Day 2: Cochin to Munnar
Embark on a scenic drive to Munnar (approx 4 hrs) through mist-wrapped valleys and tea plantations. Check in to your resort. In the afternoon, enjoy a tranquil nature stroll through the surrounding tea gardens.

Day 3: Letchmi Hills & Munnar Town
Take a morning guided trek along the rolling paths of Letchmi Hills for panoramic views. In the afternoon, explore Old Munnar Town at leisure—browse vibrant spice bazaars for fresh cardamom and premium teas.

    Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady
Drive to Thekkady (3 hrs), Kerala’s spice capital bordering the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Check in to your forest lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing amidst nature or optionally attend an evening Kathakali classical dance show.

Day 5: Periyar Safari & Vembanad Backwaters
Take an early morning boat safari across Lake Periyar to spot wildlife along the forested banks. After breakfast, drive to the Vembanad backwater belt (4 hrs). Depending on seasonal availability, check into your lakeside resort in either the tranquil hamlet of Kumarakom or scenic Alleppey.

Day 6: Houseboat & Overnight Cruise
Transfer to the Alleppey jetty to board your traditional Kerala houseboat at 12:00 PM. Cruise palm-fringed canals while savouring freshly cooked regional meals on board. Anchor at dusk for a peaceful overnight stay on the water.

    Day 7: Return to Cochin
Savour breakfast as the houseboat navigates back for a 9:00 AM disembarkation. Drive back to Cochin (2 hrs). Check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure for relaxed souvenir shopping.

    Day 8: Departure Transfer
After breakfast, your private chauffeur will transfer you to Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station for your onward journey home.
