After this visit, you will return in Assisi centre to visit the magnificient St. Francis Basilica. It is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Order of Friars Minor Conventual in Assisi, a town in the Umbria region in central Italy, where Saint Francis was born and died. The Basilica of Saint Francis is world-famous for its 13th-14th century frescoes by the best painters of Italy at that time. Among those, the most famous is Giotto.
