- Dantita Beach, Guanacaste Province, Santa Cruz, Costa Rica | Depending on ocean conditions and your location, this tour takes place either at Playa Dantita in Las Catalinas (meeting at Plaza Danta, directly in front of the Santarena Hotel) or in Flamingo (meeting in front of Café Britt at La Marina Flamingo). We will confirm the exact meeting location and time the day before the tour. Start times typically range between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on ocean conditions and tidal cycles. Walk along the rocky shoreline near Flamingo or explore the coastal rocks between Playa Danta and Playa Dantita, discovering distinct tidal zones filled with marine life and hidden tide pools.
This hands-on experience is educational, engaging, and fun. Guests are also invited to participate in our Citizen Science initiative, where you will search for, observe, and help document marine and intertidal species—contributing valuable data to the iNaturalist Costa Rica database.
