The tandem hang gliding flight in Rio de Janeiro takes place at the Pedra Bonita ramp, located 520 metres above sea level within the Tijuca National Park. It is the only official gliding ramp in the city.
Upon arrival, you'll check in at the Gliding Flight Association and proceed to the top of Pedra Bonita. The flight, including all pre-flight procedures, takes approximately 30 minutes.
You’ll be accompanied by a certified instructor with extensive knowledge of both the sport and the region. The flight paths are planned to showcase Rio’s stunning beaches, mountains, and landmarks — including Pedra da Gávea and Two Brothers Hill.
After a quick briefing from your pilot, it’s time to take off and enjoy breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro.
The experience can also be done using top-level paragliding equipment. While paragliding offers a smoother and longer ride, hang gliding provides a faster and more dynamic flight.
