You will be picked up directly at the gangway of your ship at the Port of Rome (Civitavecchia) by a driver bearing a sign with your name, then driven the 1.5 hours by Mercedes into Rome.

The first stop on the tour is the majestic St. Peter's Cathedral (excluding Wednesdays, due to Papal audience - on this day St. Paul's Cathedral will be visited instead.) Then, you will move on to the Colosseum, a breathtaking monument to the ingenuity of the ancient Romans. You will also have the option to take a tour of the inside.

After viewing the Forum of Rome and the Cordonata with Castor and Pollux statues, and marvelling at the magnificent bronze monument of Marcus Aurelius, you will continue on the Pantheon, house of the Pagan Gods of Rome. Admire the dramatic dome, a masterpiece of Roman architecture.

Next, you will see the Spanish Steps, Rome's iconic meeting place, and have the opportunity to throw 3 coins into the Trevi Fountain. Stop for lunch and enjoy authentic Roman cuisine - and of course gelato - at one of the neighbourhood's many fine restaurants.

You will end your day at the glorious Vatican Sistine Chapel. Pre-booked tickets will allow you to skip the line and see first hand the astounding artistic treasures housed at this site.

You will be escorted by car back to your ship by 17:30.
